Excursion to the weaving mill
From sheep's fleece to a finished blanket
What will you learn and see on the excursion?
During the excursion, you will get an overview of the entire fabric production process, from raw materials to the finished textile product. We will introduce you to the development of weaving in our region and introduce you to the history and current functioning of the Strmilov Weaving Plant. We will guide you through the individual stages of fabric production - from the preparation of the yarn and warp, through the weaving process itself on the looms, to the finishing touches of the textile. We will show you the different types of looms we use and explain how they work. You will learn about the types of materials we work with and the different weaving techniques we use to make our products.

We do excursions only by prior arrangement for groups of 4 people or more.
