DEKA Rainbow is more than just a blanket. It is a symbol of tradition, craftsmanship and cultural heritage that dates back to the days when woolen blankets were traded for furs on Canadian reservations. Today it is created in the Kubák weaving factory in Strmilov, where the craft is passed down from generation to generation - with love, care and respect for natural materials.

What makes the Rainbow blanket so special?
It is woven from 100% pure wool, which stands out for its natural thermal insulation properties and pleasant smell.
Thanks to its generous dimensions of approximately 175x230 cm, it is perfect as a bedspread, couch or as a stylish interior accessory.
With a weight of 2.8 kg, it feels robust, but remains soft and comfortable.
Its iconic striped motif in green, red, yellow and dark on a cream background gives it an unmistakable character that you will fall in love with at first sight.
Why "Indian blanket"?
In the 18th and 19th centuries, woolen blankets were one of the most sought-after items in trade between European colonizers and the native inhabitants of North America. The Hudson’s Bay Company produced them in England and shipped them to Canada, where the Indians liked them for their practicality – they were warm even when wet, they were lighter than furs and easily adapted to different conditions.
Color variants with the iconic stripes – red, green, yellow and blue – became a status symbol and later part of Indian clothing. It is these "irises" that we know today as Indian blankets.
